| Marketing Noise Pollution: MAGAZINES July 2007 |
| I was inspired by the concept of "Marketing Noise" described in Adbusters magazine. This term discribes marketing and advertising that we are being exposed to in our environment through mass media. The amount af advertising in our everyday life is astonishing and is similar to the modern day noise pollution in the cities. According to this concept mass media has to be more ethical and clearly state the amount of pollution it contains and compensate the public by paying a special tax. |
I looked at Marketing Pollution in various magazines by analysing their layouts to find out the amount and frequency of Marketing Noise. |

_Stickers on the magazines inform the public about the level and frequency of pollution similar to the health warning on a cigarette pack or the list of ingridients on food packaging. |
